September 23, 2024 – Update
At New England Disabled Sports, the health and safety of our community remain a top priority. We understand that everyone’s comfort levels may vary during these times. Participation in our programs is entirely up to each individual. We encourage everyone to make the decision that best suits their health, safety, and personal circumstances.
August 1, 2023 – Update
Vaccination and Boosting Encouragement: We strongly encourage all participants (athletes, companions, volunteers, interns, and staff) to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and to receive booster doses, where applicable. Vaccination and boosting play a critical role in safeguarding the health and resilience of our community.
Respect for Individual Choices: While we strongly encourage vaccinations and boosters, we also understand and respect individual choices regarding personal health decisions. All members of our community will continue to be welcomed and supported, regardless of vaccination status. We aim to foster an inclusive environment where everyone feels safe, valued, and respected.
Mask-Wearing Agreement: To ensure a safe environment for everyone, all participants agree to wear a mask IF requested by anyone they are working with. This practice is designed to provide an extra layer of protection for those who may have health concerns.
- Are free of any symptoms (cough, fever, congestion, runny nose, loss of sense of smell or taste, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, or sore throat)
- Are not currently positive for COVID-19 or waiting on COVID-19 test results
- Are not currently under quarantine as directed by a health professional
Reach Out for Assistance: If you have any questions or concerns about these practices or are unsure if you can meet them, we encourage you to reach out to a New England Disabled Sports staff member. We are here to support and guide you through these measures. Please remember that we may continue to update these practices based on the latest guidance, and we will keep you informed of any changes.
