Kayaking and Stand Up Paddleboarding

Take to the water! Paddling is a great way to explore the White Mountain Region. During our scheduled paddle days, our trained coaches will find the appropriate watercraft for you…Kayaking uses a double-bladed paddle, Canoeing utilizes a single-bladed paddle or introduce you to the new trend in paddlesports; Stand Up Paddleboarding (SUP). “SUPing” is where one stands on an inflatable board utilizing a single-bladed paddle to propel them through the water. Whether kayaking, canoeing or paddling, students will enjoy the day on the water with friends, professional facilitators having fun and enjoying the beauty of the White Mountains. Sessions are approximately 2 hours.

Cycling

NEDS has one of the largest collections of adaptive cycles accommodating children or adults with a wide range of disabilities. Your NEDS facilitator will select the cycle best suited to each student’s skill level, accommodating their special need and challenging their abilities. There are many trails to explore in Lincoln, NH including the Kancamagus trail offering students new rides and outlooks. Feel the wind on your face, and most of all, have a great time and be HAPPY! Sessions are approximately 2 hours.

Golf

FORE! Hit the links and enjoy a day of adaptive golfing with NEDS. NEDS offers weekly golf outings at nearby courses where you will meet new people and make new friends while learning or improving your game. We’ll warm up your stroke on the driving range, then take the group for a great outing on the golf course. There is no concern for individuals with mobility challenges as NEDS provides students with the most state-of-the-art motorized, adaptive golf carts…the Solo-Riders. These single-person golf carts allow individuals to drive to the golf ball, line up for the swing, and even putt without ever transferring out of the cart! Our golf coaches are passionate about getting everybody involved and participating in golf. Hit your ‘hole in one’ when joining NEDS for a golf outing. Sessions are approximately 3 hours.

Downhill Mountain Biking

NEDS has a variety of downhill mountain bikes. Participants must meet the requirements to participate. Mountain bikes feature front and rear suspension to glide quickly over rocks and roots. Ride a lift up and mountain bike back down the mountain. Enjoy the beautiful White Mountains of New Hampshire while experiencing the thrill of the twists and turns of the trail! Each session is customized to your abilities and goals. Sessions offered on an individual basis.
