We are excited to announce we have recently added The TetraSki to our equipment fleet!
Two years ago, when we first heard about the TetraSki, JB’s Keys to DMD provided a grant to support one NEDS staff member to attend the week long training to be certified as a TetraSki instructor. The following winter season, we were able to lease a TetraSki and provide a new modern way of skiing independently for people with complex disabilities. Not only were we hooked, but our student-athletes were too! In October 2020, NEDS purchased their very own TetraSki!
The TetraSki is the world’s only independent alpine ski for complex disabilities. With a combination of superior engineering, durability and technology, the TetraSki allows a skier with limited strength and and dexterity to operate the ski safely and independently.
